Login to Windows XP without knowing user's password

Ever got into a situation where you bumped into someone’s PC or Laptop and found it password protected. Here’s a simple trick that may help you get access to a users machine without knowing his/her password. This trick will work only on Windows XP with welcome screen enabled on logon.

When you get the welcome screen ..with the person’s user name….press ctrl+alt+deltwice.

They login window will show in classic style.

Therein type username: administrator and press enter

Voila 5 out of 10 times you will succeed to login as administrator.

This is a loophole in Win XP which doesn’t highlight Administrator user which is the default user and most of the people don’t notice it while installing windows…thus they begin by creating a new user account and password protect it …..but forget to password protect the administrator user.

Do try it and surprise your friends.

Note: This trick won’t work if the user has password protected the administrator account. So try your luck……
